This month Cadel launches his autobiography, ‘Close to Flying’. In it he describes his journey to the world stage of cycling. Having just won the cycling World Championship he now gets to wear the revered rainbow jersey but he is a cyclist that cuts a controversial figure within the cycling scene.

This week I talk to Scott Drummond one of the co producers of this years VERY exciting, 2009 Bicycle Film Festival!!! The festival itself kicks off on Wednesday 11th November with a music gig at The Factory in Marrickville. Thursday nights sees art shows and the opening party. Robin Moore’s music video ‘Performance‘ gives stick to both the Roadies and Fixies. It’s received 500,000 hits and even Lance Armstrong has tweeted it… what has driven the appel? Is the joke only for cyclists who can recognise the nuances between the different pedalling factions? Or is it just supremely funny?
