The rally at Town Hall showed overwhelming support for the new Sydney cycleways. Over 300 people turned up because they like what City of Sydney are trying to achieve. Although the rally was initially prompted by Alan Jones from 2GB, he and other protestors were nowhere to be seen. It’s so often that good policy gets shouted down by dissenters and complainers. Sometimes governement needs to be told when an idea is a good one. In this case can we extend our show of support and write letters/emails to the NSW Roads Minister? Given his response on Alan Jones show the next day(!?)… we need to let him know that the cycleways are well supported by the Sydney community!
